Cluster configuration file

GPFS provides default configuration values, so a cluster configuration file is not required to create a cluster.

You can provide an optional cluster configuration file at the time of cluster creation. This optional file can be useful if you already know the correct parameter values based on previous testing or if you are restoring a cluster and have a backup copy of configuration values that apply to most systems. However, this option is not used at cluster creation time, and configuration parameters are modified after the cluster is created (by using the mmchconfig command).

For more information about the cluster configuration file, see the description of the mmcrcluster -c ConfigFile option in mmcrcluster command.
