Upgrading IBM Storage Scale Erasure Code Edition

You can upgrade to a newer available version of IBM Storage Scale Erasure Code Edition by using the installation toolkit or by using manual steps.

Note: If the IBM Storage Scale Erasure Code Edition cluster has IBM Storage Scale native REST API (scaleAPIEnabled=yes) and passwordless SSH is disabled between nodes, enable the passwordless SSH before any upgrade.

Use one of the following available upgrade options depending on your requirements:

Use the installation toolkit to do an online upgrade of your IBM Storage Scale Erasure Code Edition cluster. For more information, see Online upgrade of IBM Storage Scale Erasure Code Edition by using the installation toolkit.
