Data protection and storage utilization

Minimizing the risk of data loss due to multiple failures and minimizing disk rebuilds can be done by using IBM Storage Scale Erasure Code Edition, at the expense of additional storage overhead. The following table shows the approximate percentage of total capacity that is usable by the file system, excluding user-configurable spare space and IBM Storage Scale RAID metadata.
