transparent cloud tiering nodes
transparent cloud tiering might use 1-4 gateway nodes per file system to communicate to a cloud provider.
These nodes are used to transfer files to and from the cloud provider. During large file migrations, or if users need to recall files, these nodes might be used heavily for file transfer. It is best to communicate to the cloud provider on a different physical network than the network used for internal cluster communications. On heavily used clusters, transparent cloud tiering might impact any other applications that run on these nodes. transparent cloud tiering gateway nodes are necessary to be separate from the servers that provide storage for IBM Storage Scale RAID.
