Other IBM Storage Scale features

IBM Storage Scale offers caching features such as local read-only cache (LROC) and high-availability write cache (HAWC) can provide additional high-speed caching to speed up certain applications.

LROC and HAWC can be used on file systems that contain storage provided by IBM Storage Scale Erasure Code Edition. However, LROC and HAWC devices cannot be installed directly on nodes providing IBM Storage Scale Erasure Code Edition storage. Client nodes that are not part of the IBM Storage Scale Erasure Code Edition recovery group can use these devices.
