HDFS transparency allows big data applications to access IBM Storage Scale local storage - File Placement Optimizer (FPO) mode.

Note: From IBM Storage Scale 5.0.5 onward, FPO was
deprecated. Starting with IBM Storage Scale 5.2.0-0,
HDFS Transparency 3.2.2-8+ does not support FPO architecture anymore.
