Rack and PDU requirements

An overview of the rack and PDU requirements that are needed to support IBM Storage Ready Nodes.

Rack type - 4-post
Footing - Locking and stability features.
Rack width - Standard 19” mount.
Rack depth - As required by the Ready Node specifications.
Rack height - As determined by the number of Ready Nodes and associated switches.
Rack weight capacity - As determined by the total weight calculation.
Rail system - Sliding rails that are provided with the Ready Nodes and switches.
Cable management - Cable management loops provided on the Ready Nodes sliding rails.
PDUs and jumper cords - Determined by power calculation and number of units.

Note: Some PDUs support measurement display, and separate facility network connectivity that allows for the monitoring of power and voltage.
