Installing and configuring IBM Storage Ceph

Install and configure an IBM Storage Ceph cluster on the IBM Storage Ready Nodes.

Installation and configuration involve primarily bootstrapping the storage cluster, deploying more daemons such as monitoring stack, Ceph Object Gateway, and others. For more information, see IBM Storage Ceph initial installation documentation.

You can install whichever version of IBM Storage Ceph you want to as the Dell PowerEdge R760 X5D and Dell PowerEdge R760 X6D servers supports all the versions of IBM Storage Ceph. You can select the version that you want to install from IBM Storage Ceph.

Note: The Ready Node rear SSDs are specifically for metadata. Ensure that your installation process takes this into consideration.
