Editing a tiering storage rule

You can edit a tiering storage rule to modify its source pools, and the interval of days that it specifies for data to remain in the source pools. You can also select the option to tier all data, tier only inactive data, or tier data based on subrules. You can also activate or deactivate the rule and specify the start time and maximum duration.

To edit a tiering storage rule, complete the following steps:

1. On the Storage Rules page, select the tiering storage rule that you want to edit.
2. Click Details and then click the Properties tab.
3. Click Modify.

   The tiering storage rule is now editable.

4. Edit the fields and click Save.

Results

The tiering storage rule is modified. If the tiering storage rule is active, the server runs it daily at the specified time.
