Editing a replication storage rule

You can edit a replication storage rule to modify some of its properties.

About this task

You can edit a replication storage rule to change the following properties:

  • Whether the rule is active (enabled). When the replication storage rule is active, it runs daily at its scheduled time to replicate new and changed data to the target replication server.
  • The maximum number of data sessions to use for sending data to a target replication server. Increasing the number of sessions can improve replication throughput if the network has sufficient bandwidth.
  • The rule's scheduled start time and maximum duration.
Restriction: You cannot change the storage rule name, the source replication server, the target replication server, the data to be replicated, or the method that is used to transfer data.

Procedure

To edit a replication storage rule, complete the following steps:

  1. On the Storage Rules page, select the replication storage rule that you want to edit.
  2. Click Details and then click the Properties tab.
  3. Click Modify.

The replication storage rule is now editable.

  4. Edit the fields and click Save.
