Editing a copy storage rule

You can edit a copy storage rule to modify its properties.

About this task

You can edit a copy storage rule to modify its source pools. You can also select the option to copy all data or to copy data based on subrules. You can also activate or deactivate the rule and specify the start time, maximum duration, and number of parallel processes.
Restriction: You cannot change the storage rule name or the target pool.

Procedure

To edit a copy storage rule, complete the following steps:

  1. On the Storage Rules page, select the copy storage rule that you want to edit.
  2. Click Details and then click the Properties tab.
  3. Click Modify.

    The copy storage rule is now editable.

  4. Edit the fields and click Save.

Results

The copy storage rule is modified. If the copy storage rule is active, the server runs it daily at the specified time.
