Deleting a copy subrule

You can delete a copy subrule that is no longer needed.

About this task

When you delete a copy subrule, you remove the exceptions to the parent rule settings. Data that was already copied to the target pool remains in the target pool until the data expires.

To delete a copy subrule, complete the following steps:

1. On the Operations Center menu bar, click Storage > Storage Rules.
2. On the Storage Rules page, locate the parent storage rule of the copy subrule. If the Subrules column displays a single subrule, click the subrule name. If the Subrules column displays a number, hover over the number and then click a subrule to delete.
3. Click the Properties tab.
4. Click Modify, Delete Subrule, and Save.

Results

The copy subrule is deleted.
