Viewing container storage pool directories
You can view a list of file system directories that are assigned to a container storage pool, and view capacity and access information for each directory.
About this task
Directories define disk storage for container storage pools. For directory-container pools, the directories define the storage pool size. For cloud-container pools, the directories define the size of a disk cache that is used to optimize data transfer to the cloud. The pool size for a directory-container pool or the cache size for a cloud-container pool is determined by the capacity of the directory file systems. For cloud-container storage pools, the data is only held temporarily on disk. After the data is transferred to the cloud, it is deleted from the directory cache.
Because data that is sent to the storage pool is distributed across the storage pool directories, it is important that each directory is available and has sufficient capacity.
Procedure
To view a list of container storage pool directories, complete the following steps:
- On the Storage Pools page, select the container storage pool whose directories you want to list.
- Click Details, and then click the Directories tab.
