Microsoft Dfs tree and file restore

To restore Dfs junctions and the data for each junction, restore the Dfs junction metadata first and then restore each junction separately.

If the junction metadata is not restored, IBM® Storage Protect creates a directory under the Dfs root using the same name as that of the junction point and restores the data in that directory.
