Operations Center data refresh rates

Different data is refreshed at different rates in the Operations Center.

Main pages of the Operations Center
  • Most of the data on the following pages of the Operations Center is refreshed almost immediately when a related change occurs in the storage environment:
    • Overview page
    • Alerts overview page
    • Clients page
    • Schedules page
    • Services page
    • Servers page
    • Maintenance page
    • Storage Pools page
    • Storage Devices page
    • Tasks page

  • Some data, including the following data, on those pages is refreshed after an interval that you can define:
    • The data in the Activity area of the Overview page
    • The amount of used and free space in the server database, active log, archive log, and storage pools
To define the interval, see the procedure about changing global settings in the "Related tasks" section later on this page.
Restriction: An interval of less than 5 minutes can cause the following issues:
    • Operations Center data that is supposed to be refreshed after the defined interval takes a longer time to be refreshed.
    • Operations Center data that is supposed to be refreshed almost immediately when a related change occurs in the storage environment also takes a longer time to be refreshed.
  • The activity log on the Alerts overview page is not refreshed automatically. To refresh the activity log, select another alert, and then select the original alert again.

Detail pages of the Operations Center
  • Data on pages that display details about an individual client, policy domain, server, or storage pool is refreshed after a number of seconds
  • The activity log on individual-server Alerts pages is not refreshed automatically. To refresh the activity log, select another alert, and then select the original alert again.
