You can view information about the commands that were held for command approval. You can view the commands that are still pending approval, and the commands that were approved or rejected.

About this task

If command approval is enabled and an administrator issues a restricted command, the command does not run unless it was issued by an exempt approval administrator. The server issues the warning message ANR2742W, which indicates that the command is pending approval. If the Operations Center issues the command in the background on behalf of the administrator, it displays a message that indicates that the command is pending approval. Additionally, the Operations Center displays a pending-approval icon () next to the object or property for which a background command is pending approval. For example, to remove a client, the user selects the client on the Clients page and clicks More > Decommission. In the background, the Operations Center issues the DECOMMISSION NODE command, which is subject to command approval. The Operations Center displays a message that indicates that the DECOMMISSION NODE command is pending approval, and displays the pending-approval icon next to the client name.

Procedure

To view the status of a command that was held for approval, complete the following steps:

  1. On the Operations Center menu bar, click Servers.
  2. On the Servers page, select the server on which the command was issued.
  3. Click Details and then click the Command Approvals tab.
  4. To view the commands that are still pending approval, click the Pending tab. If the command is not in this list, continue to the next step.
  5. To view the commands that were approved or rejected, click the History tab.
