Viewing command status
You can view information about the commands that were held for command approval. You can view the commands that are still pending approval, and the commands that were approved or rejected.
About this task
If command approval is enabled and an administrator issues a restricted command, the command does
not run unless it was issued by an exempt approval administrator. The server issues the warning
message ANR2742W, which indicates that the command is pending approval. If the Operations Center issues the command in the background on behalf of the
administrator, it displays a message that indicates that the command is pending approval.
Additionally, the Operations Center displays a
pending-approval icon (
) next to the
object or property for which a background command is pending approval. For example, to remove a
client, the user selects the client on the Clients page and clicks
. In the
background, the Operations Center issues the
DECOMMISSION NODE command, which is subject to command approval. The Operations Center displays a message that indicates that the
DECOMMISSION NODE command is pending approval, and displays the pending-approval
icon next to the client name.
