Configuring multifactor authentication
You can set up multifactor authentication (MFA) on an IBM Storage Protect server administrator account. The MFA enables administrators to use multiple factors that include a password and a time-based one-time (TOTP) passcode to sign in to their account to provide an extra layer of protection.
Tip: MFA is intended only for administrative sessions in interactive mode. For
unattended operations or server scripts that are used for automation, use an administrator account
that is not enabled for MFA and that uses a strong, complex password.
