DEFINE DEVCLASS (Define a device class)
Use this command to define a device class for a type of storage device. The server requires that a device class be defined to allow the use of a device.

Restriction: The DISK device class is defined by IBM Storage Protect and cannot be modified with the DEFINE
DEVCLASS command.
Restriction: The CLOUD device class can
be used only for database backup operations.
