Capacity metrics for hosts

Review trends in the capacity and space usage for hosts. You can use the capacity charts to detect capacity shortages and space usage for the hosts in your storage environment.

You can view the capacity metrics for hosts in Host key metrics and Host capacity usage metrics table.

Metric Definition
Available Capacity (GiB) The capacity that is available to create new volumes in the pool.
Table 2. Host capacity usage metrics
Metric Definition
Drive Capacity (GiB The remaining capacity that can be used by the existing volumes in the pools.
Used SAN Capacity (GiB) The total amount of SAN storage that is used by volumes that are associated with the host.
Available Drive Capacity (GiB) The unused capacity on a host disk
File System Capacity (GiB) The amount of storage space on the file system of the hosts and virtual machines.
Available File System Capacity (GiB)Used File System Capacity (GiB) The amount of unused storage space on all of the file systems on hosts and virtual machines. The amount of file system capacity on the hosts and virtual machines that is used by files and directories.
Swap Space (GiB) The amount of disk space on a resource that is available to store some of the contents of the RAM when the RAM is full.
RAM (GiB) The amount of RAM on the host.
SAN Capacity (GiB) The SAN disk capacity from storage systems that is assigned to host.
Used Capacity (%) The percentage of storage capacity that is used on the host data store.
