Virtual Machine related resources
Related resources are resources that are external to a virtual machine, but are related to it through assigned storage, a network connection, or virtual hosting. Related resources that you can view include storage systems and virtual machine.
Fabrics
To view information about the fabrics that are related to the virtual machines, click Fabrics in the Related Resources section. The number next to Fabrics shows the number of fabrics that are connected to the virtual machines.
- Internal resources of fabrics
- You can also view detailed information about the internal resources of related fabrics. An entry
for an internal resource is listed under Fabrics when the following
conditions are met:
- The fabric that contains the internal resource is monitored. If a fabric is not being monitored, information about its internal resources is not available.
- The internal resource is directly associated with the fabric that is connected to the virtual machine. For example, if a fabric contains 20 switches, but only 2 of those switches are connected to the virtual machine, only those 2 switches are shown as a related resource.
- Ports
- Shows information about the switch ports that are connected to the virtual machine. The number
next to Ports shows the number of port connections that are associated with
the virtual machine. Learn more: Go to Ports.
- Switches
- Shows information about the switches that are connected to the virtual machine. The number next
to Switches shows the number of switches connected to the virtual machine.
Learn more: Go to Switches.
- Chassis
- Shows information about the chassis that are connected to the virtual machines. The number next
to Chassis shows the number of Chassis connected to the virtual machine.
