Using the dashboard

Use the dashboard to view aggregated information about all the tenants that are added to the system.

Viewing tenants

All the IBM Storage Insights tenants that are added in the multitenant dashboard are displayed in the Tenants section along with the total number of counts in the title. Each tenant displays the API connection, health status, and the tenant name.

Monitoring tenant resources

The Monitoring tenant resources section provides information on the following:
  • Tenants: provides details on the API health of the tenants that are added to the multitenant dashboard.
  • Storage Systems: provides the aggregated count of storage systems (block, file, object). It also provides a toggle to display the count of systems that are categorized on models.
  • Capacity: provides the aggregated physical capacity that is managed by all tenants added to the multitenant dashboard.
  • Warranty: provides a bar graph with four parameters for which warranty has expired or approaching warranty or maintenance in 3, 6, and 12 months. Each bar displays a color listed in the legend besides the graph.
  • Capacity insights: provides the count of three default capacity alerts that are present across all tenants.
The alerts are grouped into three tiers as:
    • Systems reaching 60% in 180 days
    • Systems reaching 75% in 90 days
    • Systems reaching 80% in 30 days
This widget gives the count of these AI-Capacity alerts generated by IBM Storage Insights.
  • Alerts: provides an aggregation of all unacknowledged alerts for the tenants. The alerts are segregated as critical, warning, and informational.
  • Drives: provides the aggregated count of the drives for each storage system in each tenant.
  • Advisory: provides two values, first is the count of call home advisories and second is the count for health checker advisories.
  • Notifications: provides notifications of Advanced Call Home with cloud services events sent by the storage systems for added tenants. For each notification details, such as the severity, time of occurrence, the device on which it occurred can be viewed.
