Create an Application Secret Key

The application secret key is required for setting up authentication for the service principal.

Procedure

To create an application secret key:
  1. Log in to the Microsoft™ Azure Portal.
  2. From the left navigation menu, select Microsoft Entra ID.
  3. Select Manage > App registrations and select the Azure AD Application you registered.
  4. From the left navigation menu, select Manage > Certificates & secrets.
  5. Click New client secret.
  6. Enter a Description and select a period for Expires, then click Add.
    Note: The value of the secret key is displayed. Copy this value as it is required when you deploy the Azure NGCE. Note that the secret key can be generated only once and must be stored safely. For information, see the Azure documentation.
