You can create governance profiles in Data Resiliency Service to manage recovery group governance and classification of storage volumes and backup policies. Using the Create governance profile wizard, you specify recovery group, storage system, and backup system attributes. When a governance profile is created, it is added to the Governance profiles page.
Before you begin
You need at least administrator authority to create governance profiles.
Procedure
To add a governance profile for a recovery group, complete the following steps:

On the Data Resiliency Service home page, click Governance profiles.

On the Governance profiles page, click Create profile. The Create governance profile wizard appears.

In the Create governance profile wizard, on the Details tab, enter the following details, and then click Next:
- Profile name: Specify a name for the governance profile.
- Description (optional): Provide a description of the governance profile.

On the Recovery group attributes tab, enter the recovery testing frequency, and then click Next:
- Recovery testing frequency: Specify a value in days for recovery testing frequency.

On the Storage system attributes tab, set the values for the Classification attribute and Resilience attributes, and then click Next:
- Snapshot frequency: Specify a value and select a unit from the drop-down list.
- Snapshot retention: Specify a value and select a unit from the drop-down list.
- Threat detection: Select an option from the drop-down list.
- Volume encryption: Select an option from the drop-down list.
- High availability (HA): Select an option from the drop-down list.
- Disaster recovery (DR): Select an option from the drop-down list.
- Immutability: Select an option from the drop-down list.

On the Backup system attributes tab, set the values for the Classification attribute and the Resilience attributes, and then click Next:
- Incremental backup frequency: Specify a value and select a unit from the drop-down list.
- Backup copies (#): Select a value to specify the number of copies.
- Locations (#): Select a value to specify the number of locations.
- Media types (#): Select a value to specify the number of media types.
- Air gap backup: Select an option from the drop-down list.
- Backup retention: Specify a value and select a unit from the drop-down list.
- Extended retention (min): Specify a value and select a unit from the drop-down list.
- Backup encryption: Select an option from the drop-down list.

Click Create to create a governance profile with the specified values. The governance profile is created under the Governance profile page.
