Deactivating an organization

You can deactivate an organization to prevent access to the organization.

Procedure

To deactivate an organization:
  1. In Data Management Service, navigate to Settings > Organizations.
  2. On the Organizations page, hover over the organization that you want to deactivate and click .
  3. Click Deactivate.
  4. On the Deactivate Organization dialog, enter YES to confirm and click Deactivate. The organization is deactivated and the status changes to Inactive.
    Note:
    • When an organization is deactivated, all DMS users belonging to that organization are still present in the system, but they are not allowed to log in normally.
    • If a user attempts to access DMS while their organization is deactivated:
      • DMS will block their standard authentication.
      • The system will force them into a VIEWER role only.
      • This restriction occurs because DMS detects the user's organization as inactive and prevents normal role assignment.
