Defender sensors
The Defender sensors page displays a tabular view of installed defender sensors and associated hosts.
Defender sensors send metadata to the Data Resiliency Service for threat analysis and detection. For more information, see IBM Storage Defender sensor threat detection.
Note: Ensure that you have the required access point permissions. Available menus, buttons, and actions are determined by your assigned permission level, and users see only the options that they are authorized to use. For more information, see User management.
The Defender sensors page displays a table with key details, including the virtual machine where each sensor is installed, the host name, sensor state, operating system version, assigned recovery groups (if any), sensor version, and associated Connection Manager.
The Defender sensors page includes actions and controls that help you filter information, select hosts, and manage sensor deployment and connectivity. The following actions are available:
- You can install a Defender sensor on a virtual machine by clicking Deploy sensors. For more information, see Deploying sensors.
- You can refine the list of virtual machines and hosts with installed Defender sensors by using the search bar to find specific terms or by applying filters to individual columns.
- You can select one or more virtual machines with installed Defender sensors and perform supported actions, such as editing update settings, clearing errors, updating sensors, or removing sensors.
- You can click a recovery group name to view the corresponding recovery group. Recovery group names appear in the Sensors table only for sensors that are associated with one or more recovery groups. For more information, see Recovery groups details.
