Troubleshooting the sensor warnings

Resolving the VOLUMES_NOT_MONITORED warning

On Windows, the sensor monitors only volumes that have the Update Sequence Number (USN) Journal or Change Journal activated. If the USN is not activated for a volume of a connected source, the following warning action is logged: VOLUMES_NOT_MONITORED

To resolve the warning action, complete the following steps:
  1. Activate the USN or Change Journal for a volume of connected source. For information about how to activate the USN for a volume, see Prerequisites for IBM Storage Defender sensor for Windows.
  2. Restart the IBM Storage Defender sensor service.

The sensor warning action for VOLUMES_NOT_MONITORED will be closed automatically when all the volumes are monitored by the sensor.
