Adding or removing resources

You can add resources to the resource group or remove resources from the recovery group.

Procedure

To add or remove virtual machine resources, complete the following steps:
  1. On the Data Resiliency Service home page, click Groupings > Recovery groups.
  2. From the Recovery groups table, click a recovery group where you want to add or remove resources.
  3. Navigate to the Resources tab.
  4. To add or remove resources from the recovery group, complete the respective action:
    • To add resources:
      1. on the recovery group details page, , navigate to the Resources tab and click Add resources. This opens Add resources pop-up window.
      2. In the list of connected vCenters, select the one that you are interested in.
        Note: All virtual machines assigned to a resource group must be located in the same vCenter.
      3. Click the rows of the list of inventoried virtual machines to select the virtual machines that you want to add to the recovery group. You can use the search bar to search a specific name or narrow the search.
      4. Click the Add button to add the resources to the recovery group. Once added, you can view the resource on the Resources wizard step with additional information.
    • To remove resources:
      1. In the list of virtual machine resources, select the checkboxes for which you would like to remove resources from the recovery group. You can use the search bar to search a specific resource group or narrow search.
      2. Click the Remove button.
      3. On the Confirm remove pop-up window, click Remove.
