Creating credentials

You can create credentials in Data Resiliency Service to access various sources. Credentials can be created independently of a source to access multiple sources.

Procedure

To create credentials, complete the following steps:
  1. Log in to IBM® Storage Defender®.
  2. Navigate to Data Resiliency Service > Connections > Credentials.
  3. On the Credentials page, click the Create credential button.
  4. On the Create credential dialog box, enter the following information:
    • Name: Enter a name of your choice.
    • Description: Enter a description of the credential (optional).
    • Access type: Select either Password or API key.
      • If you select Password, enter the username and password
      • If you select API key, enter the API key for the source to be added.
  5. Click Create

    After the successful creation of a credential, a success message is displayed. The newly created credential is displayed on the Connections table.
