Credentials
The Credentials menu displays a page with a table of credentials that are used to access various sources.
Credentials enable you to create, access, and securely manage sources connected to Data Resiliency Service. They can be reused to avoid repeatedly entering the same information, and users can share access without exposing the actual credentials.
Note: The connection managers access point enables users to perform actions associated with API keys, connection managers (including update), and source management (including credentials). These actions can also be performed through the All Resources access point. The menus, buttons, and available actions are displayed based on the user’s permission level for these access points. Users will only see options corresponding to their assigned permissions. For more information see Access points.
The Credentials table displays the following information:
- Name: The user-defined name of the credential.
- Access type: The access type, such as password or API key.
- Sources: The number of sources that can be accessed by using the credential.
- Last updated: The timestamp of the last update for the credential.
- Description: The credential description added by the user.
You can use the following options to refine the list of credentials:
- Access type: To filter the credentials list by access type such as password or API key.
- Search bar: To find an existing credential.
You can also create a new credential by clicking the Create Credential button, which is located next to the search bar. For more information, see Creating credentials.
Click the Overflow menu, on any row on the table, to perform the following actions for the corresponding credential:
- View details: This drop-down option navigates you to the side panel to display credential-related information. The information includes: Username, Access type, and Description. Inside the side panel click the Edit button to editing the credentials. For more information, see Editing credentials.
- Edit: You can click this drop-down option to edit a user credential. For more information, see Editing credentials.
- Delete: You can click this drop-down option to delete the user credential from the Data Resiliency Service. For more information, see Deleting credentials.
