Updating library firmware

Procedure

Complete the following steps to update the firmware:

  1. Obtain the library firmware package from IBM® Support and install it on your workstation.
  2. From the System page of the Diamondback management GUI, select Actions > Update Firmware.
  3. Browse to the library firmware image and click Open.
    The Apply Library Firmware window displays.
    Note: The library firmware image file is named Diamondback_WXYZ.afwz, where W, X, Y, and Z are different numbers depending on the firmware version.
  4. Click Yes to continue.
  5. The task pod at the lower left of the System page indicates that the firmware update task is in progress. Monitor the status of the update from the Tasks page by selecting Monitor > Tasks.

If the library firmware update hangs, restart the library from the System page by selecting Actions > Restart and then try the firmware update again.
