Providing information for support

If you are unable to fix problems related to IBM Storage Ceph, contact the IBM Support Service and provide sufficient amount of information that helps the support engineers to faster troubleshoot the problem you encounter.

Before you begin

Before you begin, make sure that you have the following prerequisites in place:
  • Root-level access to the node.
  • IBM Support account.

Procedure

  1. Open a support ticket with IBM Support.
  2. Ideally, attach an sos report to the ticket. For more information, see Generating an sos report.
  3. If the Ceph daemons fail with a segmentation fault, consider generating a human-readable core dump file. For more information, see Generating readable core dump files.
