Transitioning data to IBM Cloud Object Store (COS) service

You can transition data to an IBM Cloud Object Store (COS) service as part of the lifecycle configuration using storage classes to reduce cost and improve manageability. The transition is unidirectional and data cannot be transitioned back from the remote zone. This feature is to enable data transition to multiple cloud providers such as IBM Cloud Object Store (COS) service.

Procedure

The procedure for setting up cloud transition to IBM COS is similar to Transitioning data to Amazon S3 cloud service.
Important:
  • The following parameters are different in IBM COS:
    • target_path
    • tier-config
    • access_key
    • secret_key
    • region
  • The only supported option for glacier_restore_tier_type is NoTier.
