You can create block device images on the IBM Storage Ceph dashboard.
Before you begin
Before you begin, make sure that you have the following prerequisites in place:
- A running IBM Storage Ceph cluster.
- Dashboard is installed.
- A pool with the
rbd application enabled is created.

Procedure
- From the dashboard navigation, go to
.
- From the Images tab, click
Create.
- Complete the Create Images form.
- Optional: Click Advanced to set advanced parameters,
such as Striping and Quality of Service.
- Click Create Image.
A notification displays that the
image was created successfully.
