Exiting maintenance mode

To restart a host, you can move it out of maintenance mode on the IBM Storage Ceph Dashboard.

Before you begin

Before you begin, make sure that you have the following prerequisites in place:

  • A running IBM Storage Ceph cluster.

  • Dashboard is installed.

  • All other prerequisite checks are performed internally by Ceph and any probable errors are taken care of internally by Ceph.

Procedure

  1. From the dashboard navigation, go to Cluster > Hosts.
  2. From the Hosts List, select the host that is in maintenance.
    Note: You can identify the host in maintenance by checking for the maintenance label in the Status column.
  3. Click Exit Maintenance from the action drop-down.
    After exiting the maintenance mode, you need to create the required services on the host by default-crash and the node-exporter gets deployed.

    A notification is displayed that the host has been moved out of maintenance successfully and the maintenance label is removed from the Status column.
