Viewing and managing dashboard data

Learn how to use the IBM Storage Ceph Dashboard to view cluster health, explore system data, and manage alerts.

Before you begin, make sure that you have the following prerequisites in place:
  • Ensure that you can access the IBM Storage Ceph Dashboard. The Dashboard module is enabled by default in IBM-supported installations. No additional configuration is required.
  • Sign in with username and password generated during bootstrap.

You can monitor cluster data, review system health, and manage alerts directly from the Dashboard interface.

The dashboard displays temporary loading indicators or empty states while data loads. Large tables are paginated to improve loading time and navigation. The Status card card summarizes cluster health and displays active alerts. You can view and verify alert states directly from the Status card card.

  • To view cluster status and alerts, open the Status card on the main dashboard.
  • To navigate large tables, open a page that lists multiple records, such as OSDs or Hosts. Use the pagination controls to move between pages or change the number of rows displayed. Enter search or filter criteria, and wait for the table to refresh.
  • To view cluster status and alerts, open the Status card on the main dashboard. The Status card shows summarized cluster health and active alerts.
  • Click View alerts to open the Active Alerts page.

Expand an alert row to view details, including the description, severity, state, and Total occurrences. To view the alert source, click Source in the alert row. Alerts update automatically as cluster conditions change.
