Creating a silence

You can create a silence for an alert for a specified amount of time on the IBM Storage Ceph Dashboard.

Before you begin

Before you begin, make sure that you have the following prerequisites in place:
  • A running IBM Storage Ceph cluster.
  • Dashboard is installed.
  • An alert fired.

Procedure

  1. From the dashboard navigation, go to Observability > Alerts.
  2. On the Silences tab, click Create.
  3. In the Create Silence form, fill in the required fields.
    Use the Add matcher to add silence requirements.

    A notification displays that the silence was created successfully and the Alerts Silenced updates in the Silences table.
