Installing Python for Windows

This topic describes how to install Python 3.6 or later on a Windows™ system for the IBM Storage® Archive Library Edition.

Procedure

Complete the following steps in order to install Python:
  1. Go to the web page for the Python Windows installer on the Python website.
  2. Download the file to your local folder.
  3. Double-click the file in Windows Explorer.
  4. Follow the installer instructions.
  5. Ensure you add Python to the environment variables.
