About this task

Complete the following steps to uninstall IBM Storage Archive Library Edition:

Procedure

  1. Log on to the operating system as a root user.
  2. If the IBM Storage Archive LE program is already installed and the tape library is mounted, unmount the library by using the following command:
    # umount /mnt/ltfs
  3. Use the following commands, in the order that is shown, to remove the installed package:
    # rpm -e ltfs-admin-utils-2.4.3.0-[revision]
    # rpm -e ltfsle-library-2.4.3.0-[revision]
    # rpm -e ltfsle-2.4.3.0-[revision]

Note: Keep the license module installed when you uninstall the IBM Storage Archive LE package to upgrade to a higher version. You cannot install an upgrade package without the license module. If you have a license module for a trial version and the license expires, IBM Storage Archive LE works in read-only mode. To use all IBM Storage Archive LE functions, uninstall the trial license module and install the license module for the product version.
