Security Considerations
The software components of IBM Storage Archive Library Edition use several communication channels for inter-process communication.
You must consider the following settings to maintain data security.
Node access restriction for LE communication ports
Check that the nodes in the LE cluster have appropriate access restrictions. It is recommended that the nodes be configured with an allow-list-based authorization. For example, configuring the firewall to allow only LE nodes to access the ports that is effective.
The Storage Archive connection port is configured by the adminchannel settings. For more information on how to check the used port number, see Configuring default settings for adminchannel.
