eeadm task cancel

Cancels the active eeadm tape reclaim or eeadm tape datamigrate task.

If a tape is in the tape drive and a reclaim or datamigrate task is in progress, the tape unloads automatically when the task completes.

Syntax

eeadm task cancel <task_id> [OPTIONS]
Required parameters
<task_id>
Specifies the ID of the task to cancel.
Optional parameters
Common options
--async
Runs the command in the background. Use the eeadm task list command to check the progress and result.
-h, --help
Shows this help text and exit.

Return codes

The following definitions apply to the return codes when the --async option is not specified.
0 (zero)
The operation completed successfully.
Non-zero
The operation failed.
If the --async option is specified, the following definitions apply to the return codes.
0 (zero)
The request of the operation was accepted and the new task was created.
Non-zero
The request of the operation was not accepted.
