eeadm tape show

Displays the configuration attributes of a tape that is already assigned to a tape pool.

Note: This command works for the tapes that are assigned to the tape pool but not in the duplicated, disconnected, or missing states.

Syntax

eeadm tape show <tape> [-l <library>] [OPTIONS]
Required parameters
<tape>
Specifies the name of the tape (VOLSER) to display.
-l, --library <library>
Specifies the name of the tape library where the tape is managed. In a single tape library configuration, this option can be omitted.
Optional parameters
-a, --attribute <attribute>
Specifies the name of the attribute to display. If this option is omitted, all attributes of the tape are shown.
Common options
-h, --help
Shows this help text and exit.

Output

Attribute Description
tapeid The tape ID (VOLSER).
poolname The name of the tape pool to which the tape is assigned.
offline (*) The message that is associated with the offline tape.
recall_only (*) The true or false value for the recall_only state of the tape.
Note: The value of the attribute with (*) can be changed with the eeadm tape set command.

Return codes

0 (zero)
The operation completed successfully.
Non-zero
The operation failed.
