Getting started with Storage Archive Enterprise Edition

A quick overview of the tasks that are required to get started with using IBM Storage Archive Enterprise Edition. Preinstallation tasks

Certain system and environment requirements must be met before IBM Storage Archive Enterprise Edition is installed. The following table presents these prerequisites and preinstallation tasks, and links to topics with additional information and steps. Detailed preinstallation information can be found in the Planning section of this product documentation.

Ensure that your user ID meets the requirements for installing the IBM Storage Archive Enterprise Edition. Root user authority is required for installing and administering the IBM Storage Archive Enterprise Edition.

Installation tasks

Before you install the IBM Storage Archive Enterprise Edition, read all of the information in the Planning section of this product documentation and complete all of the tasks that are identified in Preinstallation tasks. Operating the IBM Storage Archive Enterprise Edition
