About this task

A Permanent assignment or Temporary assignment procedure can be used when a tape drive requires replacing or repairing.
Note: When IBM Storage Archive mounts the library, all tape drives are inventoried to it. After you mount the library, you can run the eeadm commands to manage the library and to correct a problem if one occurs. For more information, see Managing.
