Custom user exit

User exit validation allows extended HIPAA X12 transaction data checking. When the option to perform custom user exit validation is activated, the compliance check process starts the specified user-developed, external application after rule-based validation for Type7 requirements is complete.

One of the capabilities provided in the SPE Pack for Healthcare Payer, Type 7 or "Companion Guide" validation, is the ability to extend the rule capability beyond the templates and example rules. You can write custom rules in computer code to perform custom validations that are not available in the Standards Processing Engine. Rules coded in both C and Java are supported by the product, but you must code and maintain these rules yourself.
