How global control numbers are matched
If you are using a global control number for inbound envelopes (that is, if the parameter Use global control number is set to the value Yes (and generate name from data), ITXA attempts to match an existing global control name.
ITXA attempts to match global control number names in this sequence:
- The primary name format, replacing the values that are selected for the corresponding value in the message. For example, if only Message Type is selected, and the message type is 100, ITXA checks for the control number name SWIFT_100_Inbound_FIN.
- First backup name.
- Second and third backup names, if offered.
- If no existing control number name matches the names in steps 1-3, a control number with the name assigned in the first step is generated.
