Open the map source file, claim_to_ilog.mms,
in the ...\mapsandschemas folder and then build
all maps.
Execute the run map to_ilog. The
input file, 837p_5010a1_icd10_example.dat can
be found in the ...\mapsandschemas\data folder.
The map execution produces the XML output file toiLog.xml that
contains the ICD-10 codes. The output file from this step can be found
in ...\mapsandschemas\data folder.
Execute the run map from_ilog.
The input files 837p_5010a1_icd10_example.dat (input
to step 2) and fromiLog.xml (output from step
2, enhanced by rules ending processing) can be found in the folder ...\mapsandschemas\data.
The file fromiLog.xml is the example file that
is created by a rules engine. The map execution produces the HIPAA
837 professional file (837p_5010a1_out.dat) containing
the ICD-9 codes. The output file can be found in the ...\mapsandschemas\data folder.
Execution of the run map val_edi can
be used to ensure the file 837p_5010a1_out.dat is
valid.
