Viewing type properties
About this task
Properties of a data object are defined in the Type Designer, but can be viewed in the Map Designer. Data object properties are displayed on the Properties view. There are two columns on the Properties view: the Property settings of the data Item or Group column, and the Value column.
To view the properties of a type
Procedure
- Right-click the type in a map card.
- On the context menu, click Show in Properties to view type properties.
Results
You can also view attributes, component rules, and restrictions.
To update the view on the Properties tab
Procedure
- With the Properties view open, update the view by clicking the data object in the Output or Rule column of the card.
- The title bar of the Properties view displays the data object name.
