Setting password when test running or deploying map

You have to set your password when test running or deploying a IBM Transformation Extender map on a Sterling B2B Integrator server.

Set the password in either one of the following ways:

  • Set it in the Sterling B2B Integrator preferences pane before you start the test or deploy process.

The pane opens from Design Studio when you click Window > Preferences > Transformation Extender > Map > Sterling B2B Integrator . Enter the password under Connectivity in the Test Map or Check In Map Service tab.

  • Set it in the Enter Password window when prompted after you start the test or deploy process.

The prompt appears if you did not previously enter a password in the Sterling B2B Integrator preferences pane.

When you enter your password in the Sterling B2B Integrator preferences pane, it is encoded and saved in Eclipse secure storage under com.ibm.websphere.dtx.si.client.preferences.sterlingintegrator . It is then available to the test and deploy processes after you restart the Design Studio. If you do not want to store the password in Eclipse secure storage, do not enter it in the Sterling B2B Integrator preferences pane.
