Creating a map source file

This topic describes how you create a map source file.

About this task

Map source files contain one or more maps. It is logical to organize your maps in map source files according to use or purpose.

To create a map source file:

Procedure

  1. Click File > New > Map Source .
    The Map Source window opens.
  2. Enter or select the parent folder in which you want the new map to appear.
  3. In the File name field, enter the name of the map source file.
  4. Click Finish.
    The map source file displays in the Outline view.
