Using the ObjectConnect commands

This topic shows the specific functions that the ObjectConnect commands perform.

Start of change You can use the Remote Location Name (RMTLOCNAME) parameter on ObjectConnect commands to specify where the saved objects are to be restored. Specify *IP as the Type of RMTLOCNAME to use TCP/IP to communicate with target system. Specify *SNA to use APPC, APPN, Enterprise Extender or OptiConnect to communicate with target system, and the system determines the method (communications line or optical connection) for transferring data to that location.
